Sporting a new suit and confidence, Vietnam Veteran Gary Jenkins of Los Angeles, is overcome with emotion as he thanks the 300 Working Wardrobes volunteers transform himself into a better man at Los Amigos High School in Fountain Valley. Working Wardrobes' Men's Day of Self Esteem prepares men who have experienced homelessness, alcohol or substance abuse or other traumatic episodes to enter the job market. Professional attire was donated by Men's Warehouse and other Orange County donors. Grooming services, massages and career development skills were offered free to 110 men by 300 volunteers. U.S. Veterans from the New Directions residential treatment center in Los Angeles, along with men from seven homeless shelters and addiction programs across southern California.
