Jack Daniel's Barrel Proof Single Barrel Tennessee Whiskey — Bitters & Bottles

Jack’s first barrel proof whiskey, ever. Doesn’t drink like it’s 2/3rds alcohol, really needs no water at all. Palate rich with caramel, butterscotch, a touch of cloves and a lengthy, vanilla-fueled finish. Big, bold body — but it’s not overpowering in the slightest.
73% of Series #11 is made up of 13 year Kentucky Bourbon made from a mashbill of 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley - a very special, well aged base for the blend. 21% is 10 year old Kentucky bourbon made of 78% corn, 13% rye, and 9% malted barley. The remaining 6% is Bardstown's own wheated bourbon aged for 6 years entirely in French Oak casks. A vibrant blend of rainier cherry, butterscotch, brown sugar, and roasted peanut leads to a spirited palate of toffee and cinnamon spice.
For the tenth release of their Discovery series, Bardstown blended 6, 9, 10, and 13 year old Kentucky Bourbon with 10 year old Georgia bourbon and a splash of 10 year old Tennessee bourbon bottled at 114.24 proof.  The nose is very sweet with caramel, vanilla icing, cake batter, and a hint of maple backed by charred oak.  The sip begins sweet as well, with vanilla and caramel leading before cherries and cinnamon add depth.  The finish is long and flavorful and features notes of dry fruit, rye spice, leather, and oak.
