Marco Mengoni is an Italian singer-songwriter best known for winning the third season of X Factor in 2009. Since his win, he has released four studio albums and two live albums, plus more than 30 singles and has represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013. He has won two Italian Music Awards for Album of the year in 2014 and 2017 and received the award for Best European Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2013. He has also received several platinum and gold certifications in Italy and several European countries for sales of his albums and singles. His music is heavily influenced by soul, r&b and pop and in Italy he is renowned for his heartfelt ballads and passionate live performances.
