Pattada Knife - Ox Horn is part of the Saladini collection of fine crafted Italian collector knives by Coltelleria Saladini in Scarperia, Italy.
  Since The Middles Ages, the Tuscan town of Scarperia has been a famed center of knives and cutlery production. Coltelleria Saladini in Scarperia is one of only four workshops left still producing knives. Based on historical patterns and materials, the Saladini collection is immediately distinguished by a stylistic renewal of forms with a particular attention to detail and the whole production process. This is a Sardinian knife par excellence; in fact, it takes its name from the small town of Pattada which is famous for producing this type of knife. The model we offer draws inspiration from the classic Sardinian model, although we have completely revised its structure, putting steel liners inside the handle and a simple spring mechanism that partially blocks the blade. We craft two versions of the Pattada, one with studs and one without, replacing the classic hose clamp around the bolster. Comes in a wooden box.
